Without delivering so much information that it allows the fraudulent hackers to see into the development and know which way to take their progress next, this article brings to life a very real problem and notifies the community that measures are being taken to prevent black market knock off medications from reaching the streets.

To be honest when I first read the title my mind went to counterfeiting money. I had never given thought to counterfeit medications or measures to prevent such a thing.

Over time, during transport as the pills rubbed against one another, wouldn't the depth of the barcode then alter? In so doing, wouldn't it then be distorted just a fraction, enough to be read incorrectly by the scanners? That is the flaw I see with the program.

Overall this is well written and very informative. I found the information fascinating and great material to add to the knowledge banks.
