Considering your user name, I have to wonder if you were hoping for more words to come. For this piece, or just in general? Just kidding around a bit.

Although these words were few, two couplets, the concept captured was eloquent. So often as I drift off to sleep, stories come to mind, but the PC is turned off, and I'd only be stumbling around. The same for dreaming. The picture is clear in my head, but vanishes when I wake.

How cool if we had cameras that took pictures of our dreams, or if there was some sort of recording device so none of those fanciful thoughts or visions were lost.

Look at how many words I needed to say, in a very clumsy way, what you've expressed so succinctly. The thought of taking a picture in the mind with a metaphorical camera is simply gorgeous. And while we're shaping that dream to look just so, we wake.

The topic isn't uncommon among writers. Many of us dream and forget. If I'm not totally out of it, I'll jot something down in a notebook I keep by the bed. (It's mostly blank.)

What struck me the most, other than the originality, was the mood. I felt a sense of poignancy that gave me pause. Such a beautiful opportunity slipped away. Really, tragically sad.

All that aside, I have to reflect back to the title and wonder if all this was imagined in my head, and you were speaking more literally of photography. Or do you think in photographic terms?

The categories of other and other seem sensible because this isn't quite a poem, although some would disagree. Why not take a look at your other choices because not too many reviewers search under the genre other. I found your work through random reviewing.

I also noticed you've received low ratings, and I completely disagree. I think there's a writer inside of you, and it would be sad if someone discouraged you. With so few words, I do understand why it was rated this low, but I liked the uniqueness of your work.
