What brought Capt. Hoovsie meandering in a space time continuum over to your port?

*Cow* Thank you again, Megan, for the lovely Elsa badge! It is very beautiful. I came to see your journal and I saw the title of this entry. I have been to the Blarney Stone at the castle in the southern part of Ireland.

What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item?

*Cool**Idea* I think you are right about some years being lucky and some not and we can't tell when we will have luck. I don't think kissing something, or eating something specific will change it. Plus, there is a line to kiss it and you are kissing something that someone else you don't know kissed a minute ago and hundreds of people with slimy germs kiss every day there. *Bug*

You have to be a contortionist to kiss the blarney stone. You have to lean back and put your head up side down hanging over a dirty thing high up to do it. It is very scary placement of your head and you feel vulnerable. Someone has to hold on to you while you do it so you don't have a bad fall down the side of the castle.

I couldn't do it because when I tried (early 90s) I was already not too good with my back in moving around.

What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item?

*Thumbsup* I like that you say that luck is changeable and not covered by superstitious stuff. Even if my back had been good, I would not have kissed the Blarney Stone because of the germs that lurked there.
