*CakeB* HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews*CakeP*

Excellent story. I loved the way your words described the cover image perfectly – I’m guessing this was written for an image contest. It was easy for the readers to get into the narrator’s head and not only imagine but feel her despair as she was sitting above the clouds on her own. You weaved enough backstory into the tale to make her being there plausible, in a fantasy kind of way. But you didn’t give too much away, leaving just enough to the readers’ imagination to make the story very intriguing.

There didn’t seem to be any regret for the rebellion that led to the strange punishment, only for the fact that it failed although the narrator said that she did expect that to happen. There was also the feeling that the punishment didn’t fit the crime and the thought that it wasn’t as glorious as she had hoped. It all added up to a completely hopeless situation and in the end, although you didn’t say it in so many words, there was only one way out and she wanted to take it. But she was left sitting, desperately holding on, for the readers to imagine the end.

Technically, I didn’t see anything wrong with this story. The writing was polished and the story developed and flowed very well. I felt like I got to know quite a bit about the narrator and her way of thinking although her background was a little vague, or even who (or what) she was. It made the story a fascinating read and I’m glad that I stumbled across this tale today, I really enjoyed reading it.
