Title: Well, he was prepared for something. I'm not sure what, to be honest. Even in the event of nuclear war, a cockroach doesn't seem like a fun thing to be. He might survive, but at what cost? *Shock*

First Impression: An interesting story, with a good twist. When an experiment was mentioned, I did wonder what his plans were, I was thinking some sort of invincibility serum, I guess in the end, that's pretty close. *Laugh*

Plot: You introduce the story by demonstrating the current problems in the world, then go on to explain how your MC plans to survive it. You end on a slightly disturbing note of the cockraoch shell being formed.

Characterisation: Your guy is a nuts genius. This comes across well in this short story.

Spelling/Grammar: No errors spotted here!

Closing Thoughts: Thanks for the entertaining, somewhat disturbing read. I can't the image of the MC with chitin forming under his skin. Ew!
