I wanted to read this poem because I have a certain idea of November and I wanted to see how it stacked up against yours. I thought there were some amazing lines in this piece and I think you captured "November" perfectly at times. I loved the entire middle stanza about keeping appointments made in the heated days of summer. It flows perfectly into the last stanza where time has slipped by unnoticed and the sun has moved in the sky.

There's something about summer and fall that just slide on by so quickly that I usually "wake up" some time in November when it starts getting cold out and I realize that everything around me has died and turned grey. It's this weird wake up call that I have every year and I think that's represented well in this poem.

The only issue I had here was that the first half of the first stanza didn't prove to be a good hook, in my opinion. The rustling leaves/mulberry tree bit reminded me too much of Seuss, which is fine, but no in line with the style of poetry. It picked up soon after with the second half of the first stanza, but those initial couple lines are so important in hooking your reader. I only wish they were on par with the rest!
