"SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP
Hello there, drjim
This is a Simply Positive Review! *Moon*

*Gears* I am also judging your entry into "The Bard's Hall Contest. Thank you for entering!

*Plug* My first reaction:

Pure spring coming alive!

*Owl4* I love the picture in my mind of the "wavelets." I picture streams, the water flowing over rocks and branches and fallen limbs from the winter past. It forms rhythmic ripples, or wavelets as you call them, splish-splashing anything that sets foot into the waters.

*Snow1* You start the reader off with a reminder of other seasons gone by, until spring is able to return and bring the lushness of nature back to life, in full blooming color.

*Ladybug* What pulled me in after the "lip-lip ... refrain?

"wavelets wind-driven and winding
the miniature mounds and bulges
row after unbound row
like a metronome's click of cadence
across the water's very fabric"

*Lightning3* Absolutely brilliant weaving of perfectly chosen words, to start off your poem.

*Worry* So, what's wrong WebWitch?

*Pocketwatch* I did read this one several times to feel it, live it, and try to see where I felt a little pull-off. It's not easy to pick a particular spot, perhaps because I've read many of your poems, I guess I detect a similarity in the style, but that's understandable -- we all have our signature styles. It may have been the refrain that made me wonder where I've seen some similar use in such words linked together, in one or two of your other poems, yet it did have a perfect fit with the sound of rippling water, (wavelets). So I am torn, here, on this. Do I love it? Indeed I do, there's nothing not to love. Is it your best work? Probably not, but that's something that we all understand when we enter contests. We have deadlines, prompts and word counts to consider, thus contest entries are not always the best work of the writer's muse at that particular time.

*Envy* I guess what I'm saying is, I've read your most awesome, fantastic, unbeatable poems in your port and I've been spoiled by your brilliance.

*Sun* However, for this contest, spring and nature is prevalent, and you brought it on with a powerful vision, poured onto paper and transcribed upon your computer. You hit the target.

Lovely! *Fox*

Until next time--write on!

Regards,
WebWitch
