*BalloonR* Welcome to WDC from "Newbie Welcome Wagon! *BalloonR*

Hello leestrauss. How are you doing? My name's Charlie and I'm here to welcome you to WDC with a review of your story, "Invalid Item. Thanks for sharing your writing with us and giving us a chance to review. Let me know if you need any help around the site. *Smile*

I'm more of a cat person myself, but I can really appreciate anyone who is grateful for their pet. *Cat2* *Dog2* So many people have pets who are willing to love them and be there for them when no one else will be, and they still don't show the affection and love that their pet deserves. It's good to know that your Dotty is appreciated. *Heart*

I'm sorry for what you went through. Chronic pain and illness like that can really put you out of commission. Some people never get back to it, even if they survive the ordeal. I think it's really important in those situations to appreciate the small things that you have, as you clearly did here. It's difficult when there's no one who can help you on a daily basis. There's a very lonely feeling in it, even if you have a support system. Sometimes the ones who can't relate, or even talk, are the best support system of all.

The one thing that threw me off here was the switch in tense during the last paragraph here. We go from past tense to suddenly present tense. I'm not sure if there was a specific reason for that, but it's definitely something that I noticed specifically.

Anyway, I hope you're doing much better now! Thanks again for sharing with us.
