Your poem captured my heart and opened it to a world of deep love and devotion. For your beautifully scribed lines were effortlessly woven together to paint a a clear picture, succunctly.

I believe I know that your wife has been ill, and you have had to spend so much time away from her. When your soul mate is away, it's like part of you is missing, also.

I loved these lines:

"I shall not love you any less, my love,
more quietly perhaps,
but as deeply appreciative of your love for me
as ever."

What a lovely way to describe your devotion. It shows the love is the same, just more quiet because of the moments spent away from each other.

Beautiful poetry, filled with passion from the very essence of of this couple's heart and soul. I couldn't find a spot that was off, out of sync in any way, just smooth, clear and a very inspirational read. I realize the sadness of not having a loved one close by, but the joy of your life together is strongly demonstrated, here.

I hope things have improved since the writing of this poem. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
