Hey, Angus! I've finished the Kind Hearts reviews every month, and you're on the list this time around! I went to your portfolio first and perused... lots of stuff that I could review in there. No shock to that at all... you love horror, I love horror. We're compatible sorts.

Before settling into a review though, I figured that I might as well review the suggestion forum for SCREAMS. On my way through, I checked to make sure that I had reviewed the contest. And I haven't. I could have sworn that I did. Perhaps that was the old Daily Slice though.

Anyway, I love this contest and always have. You'd never know it from the frequency of my entries, I know... but I don't write fiction as often as I write poetry. It's just the way it goes. Still, I've been checking the prompts almost daily ever since... well... for years. Ever since the Daily Slice. I also find interesting pieces to review in the forum from time to time.

I think that a daily horror contest is needed on WDC. Something where high ratings are encouraged and people can just... write what they want to write. I adore it, and I do plan to enter more often now that entries are allowed and I've been writing more fiction. So yeah... there is a reason why I gave you that awardicon. This is one of my favorite contests on all of WDC. I also appreciate the way you all run it... like an inclusive group of friends, welcoming anyone. And obviously, it's amusing that you all introduce the topics like the Crypt Keeper or other horror host. Perfect.
