"SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP

Hello there, Pumpkin
This is a Simply Positive Review! *ScallopY*

*Flipflops7* With Memorial Day weekend family get togethers just behind me, I was wandering around the "Poetry" Static Item page, under "Browse By Type" menu, and found this item. The photo of the elderly man, wearing patriotic colors, and the word "barbecue," and it just caught my attention.

*Glasses* I really enjoyed reading this poem, and seeing this grandpa in my mind. His wishes to have a another family barbecue before his days on earth end, was really special. It describes extended family and all the love that goes into these special times.

*AsteriskP* I loved the refrain used within the poem, to give the reader a clue as to the type of man he was, his wonderful character and huge heart. Lovely!

*DragonflyB* I felt his own sadness of losing his wife and waiting to join her in the afterlife. He also showed strength of character as he did not want anyone to worry or feel sorry for him, he just wanted one more time to have the whole family at his barbecue.

*Vignette6* Your poem flowed with ease. Melodious and well-rhymed.

*ButtonO* I have nothing to suggest for improvement, it just caught my heartstrings from start to finish.

Well done! *Coffee*

Until next time -- write on!

Regards,
WebWitch
