You know, your poem pulled from me so many emotions, I don't know where to begin. Although it wasn't a stroke that took my mother, I watched it take her mother away. My mother's passing was quick and very unexpected, and it still stings the eyes and makes the heart heavy as the third anniversary of her death approaches, one month from this day.

I am not an expert on the various poetry formats,especially the modernized versions, thus, I sort of learn as I go, along. And, with the helpful author's notes from writers such as yourself, I often discover forms I'd never heard of during my schooling years.

I love how you weave your memories into the lines, remembering her, and all she was and all she meant, and the strength and love she had for her children.

Then the sadness of going through life after the nest empties and her husband is no longer by her side, as he passed on before her.

Yet, you show the strong faith she had to continue on in life, not just by surviving, but by finding her own special way to thrive.

Beautifully scribed, I wouldn't even think to try to change or add a thing for improvement. This is such a highly personal tribute that no other's words have a place within these lines. Which makes it very easy to rate, because I have no doubts how much I enjoyed reading this and felt a renewed sense of loss within my own spirit, for my mom. I felt it right to the core, and that's some fine poetry in my mind.
