Title/General Thoughts/Subject Matter: I read this because I saw the title "I Did Something Today" and I wanted to know what you did today! I was so pleased to find that it was such a positive experience you were sharing with your story. There is so much negativity in the world right now, it's lovely to just see some honest and great news! I also love that you said this was a completely impulsive decision. I know the fear and frustration of publishing can push some people off of the idea for good. It's great that you went through with it and you should be very proud of yourself!


What Worked: I like how you talk in this piece about something that a lot of writers experience. I know that a lot of people are told that there isn't any money in writing and they should pursue a more lucrative avenue. I personally don't have any aspirations to publish, but I think we should all follow what dreams we may have, even if backup plans are always a good idea.

I also like that you mentioned how even if you don't sell any books, you at least accomplished something that you chose to do for yourself.


Technical Issues/Suggestions: I didn't notice any technical issues here, but I thought I might add some suggestions anyway. I'd be interested in hearing more about how successful writers exploit and capitalize on young writers. I'm not familiar with the way that publishing works, so it might be interesting to turn this into an editorial and educate some people like me who may not know what you're talking about.

Also, you should definitely link to your e-book here so that people can see it and maybe buy it if they're interested. It's a great platform for that!
