What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item?

*Cool**Idea* Your character experiences the longest night of his life following on the heels of the longest year. This story is about loss and it is also about resolving to make a new beginning and go on.

What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item?

*Thumbsup* You write about grief very eloquently here:

"He literally could feel the loss as a deep, hollow caving in his chest. A pain that reached so far inside him, that he felt he could collapse at times."

That is exactly what it feels like to me when there is a loss of someone I loved. I wish I didn't know that feeling, but I've had it more than once.

This reads like the beginning of a possibly longer story or novel. I am rooting for your protagonist to make a new start and find some happiness along the way. You did a fine job with the prompt.
