Did I feel attached to the story or poem?

I love this poem because it could be interpreted in so many ways and still give us such great pleasure in reading it. It reminds me of so many circumstances that could have gone so differently if only they were approached from the perspective of finding joy in the challenge of life.


Would I recommend this piece of writing to someone else?

I think this poem could be interepreted so many ways and speaks to people's individual hardships in relationships. For example, it could be about abortion just as easily as it could be about losing a spark in a relationship. It's so open ended that I think anyone could relate to it.

Was there a clear purpose to it?

There were so many purposes. I love that you left it open ended and still highly meaningful. So many of us could apply this piece to so many parts of our lives.


Glows:

I love the ending verse and the way it contrasts with the other three verses. My favorite verse was the one about the laughter because I do think sharing a genuine laugh with someone forms such a strong positive human connection with someone it's hard to erase. I write pretty seriously but I also love to laugh.
