Title/General Thoughts/Subject Matter: Ugh! I wish I couldn't relate to this. I know the worst time to grocery shop is when you're hungry, but I end up spending a ton of money no matter when I go. At my local grocery store, they always have kids at the doorway needing donations for whatever activity they're involved in. Or they need you to buy a chocolate bar for 4 dollars that you could get inside for 50 cents. But it's for the kids!


What Worked: This was so funny! I'd have trouble picking out my favorite part, but I laughed out loud multiple times while reading this. I loved this part:

It starts with a cup of flour and ends as a culinary Rembrandt.

Also:

I'll be the one with two carts of Groceries, a blank stare and an empty wallet. Ugh, so true.

I think we can all relate to this. When I worked at a grocery store, I learned all the stuff they do to get people to spend money, like putting the essentials at the back of the store so that a person running in to get milk has to go all the way through all the other food to get what they want. Right, I'm sure they leave with just milk. Also, putting the candy at eye level of the children while they're waiting in line to checkout. Those sneaky business people!


Technical Issues/Suggestions: There were some typos and stuff in here. One of the major ones I noticed was the random capitalization throughout. "They have Fried chicken." "Two cars of Groceries."

Some other things:

- Snicker Doddles - should be Snickerdoodles.

- I walk thru the fresh baked goods - should be through.

- ...a sweater, new Sox, underwater and a new phone - should be socks and I think underwater is supposed to be underwear?


Final Thoughts: Overall, I thought this was a really funny little essay. I think we can all relate to spending more than we want at the grocery store and you have a knack for storytelling with humor. I think there's a bit of room for improvement with grammar and typos. Thanks again for sharing with us!
