A "Game of Thrones"  House Martell Review!

First impression and prompt:

This is another clever piece from my Abba activity. I like that you have written a poem this time, and it conforms to the requirements of the prompt.

This is a clever poem and I like how you have taken the magical theme of the song and applied it to the real world.

Form:

Your poem is written in five stanzas of ABCB quatrains. Your lines do not have any fixed meter or syllabic count, but they are not required to.

I actually like the varying syllable counts as it subtly ties in with your poem's concept of things not being what they seem (don't think I explained what I meant very well).

General impressions:

Taking an Abba song about a magical piper and creating a political poem based on it is really clever. Your poem keeps a lot of the themes that run through the song (following a charismatic person, being seduced by something or someone that isn't real), and I love that.

Closing remarks:

I've flicked through most of the entries from this activity, but once GoT is over, I'll be back with more reviews.
