What a lovely poem. You drew me in and gave me good imagery to go with your words. You covered the many aspects of a budding relationship. However you then jump to the end and death. For me, the reader, it was a bit abrupt. All that tenderness and then death.

Might you consider adding a verse so we know it's after a lifetime of those silent moments that the are still bound as one? Just a thought.
