Title of Work: : Linked (Short story, Animal)
Author of Work: : Lady Sally Sunspear Martell
Date: : July 23

Plot:
The author tells about the relationship between humans and animals.

Scene/Setting:
The author comes home and her special pet hamster brings her, her slippers. She goes on to explain who Misty the hamster is and how she came to live with her. Six years prior to this story the author was run over by a delivery truck and became a paraplegic. She was only allowed to go home from the hospital because she had an assisted living pet.

Misty came from a "Gifted Pet" store. The author and Misty use telekinesis, which is communicating through thought, to tell each other what they need. Misty has the ability to move small objects those just out of reach. Due to the fact the "Gifted Pet" store are closing because science has come up with "better ideas", Misty is supposed to be returned to the center, but the Author can't do it. She can't even take Misty outside now, because she is afraid someone will notice the telekinetic exchange and take Misty away.

Characters:
Author - Human
Misty - Hamster

Suggestions:
I can see why people have told you there is a novel in this story. It is sweet and has all the ascetics needed to tell about this special relationship. Questions such as, How was Misty trained? and What other aspects of the bond exist? are just a few. The ending can be scary, sad and I hope uplifting. Write on!
