Hello, Ghostranch ! I am Aqua and the following are only my personal opinions. Ultimately, you and only you can decide what works best for your item.


I was searching for something to review in your portfolio and the last time I was here, I read and reviewed poetry. This time I thought of reading your stories and reviewing them so here I am! This particular story caught my attention for various reasons. The first is that you won second place in a contest that I didn't know, most probably it's closed now, and secondly you had written it over 100 words. The title of your story made the reader curious to know what kind of a story it might be involving a mountain and climbing it. The title promised thrill, adventure and adrenaline to the reader.

The beginning of your story was very interesting, it got the reader's undivided attention as she wondered what kind of a mountain Charlie is climbing and if it is so high, shouldn't he be scared and not go but the reader comes to know about Charlie having a lot of pride and he doesn't want it getting hurt so he has taken the bet or the dare to climb a tall, huge and dangerous mountain only to preserve his pride. The reader gets a very good lesson from your story: do not let pride rule over you, keep in under control *Laugh*. The story was full of suspense as Charlie was pumped up in the beginning to climb but then he was afraid and he thought he'd fall and die and then again he climbed to the top and had finished his task. Wohoo, congratulations Charlie!

But you know what the ending do to me? ==> *Laugh* *Rolling*! I mean seriously, I couldn't and wasn't expecting Charlie to be a kitten and jumping around, climbing trees and other things, looking at them as an adventure! I was sure it was some human being but the ending caught my by surprise and I laughed! You definitely deserved the win! Well done! Now that I think about kittens, I have them too and I have seen them climbing things, jumping off from small heights as if doing something very grave, very dangerous! They are just like kids! *Laugh* A very wonderful and funny story!
