| (4.5)| Review brought to you by: "Game of Thrones" by Gaby ~ Just tired  PLOT - Chapter 3 takes us back to the past as Dare and River's friendship continues to grow. Her brother is more protective, watching her like a hawk as his band mates hang out poolside with Dare. They play around a bit, until the groupie girls show up, sending Dare into the house and away from everyone. SETTING - Easy to follow as things progressed in this chapter. Dare is bored all by herself in the big pool, tempted to call her best friend to drive three hours just so she has something to do, her boredom was spot on, just as her excitement grew when River showed up. I could feel her disappointment with the groupie made an appearance as well. CHARACTERS - Dare and River develop a friendship, texting, sending random photos to each other. They seem very comfortable together, joking around, talking about any subject matter. I love how protective Ash is of his sister, which goes to show how he sees the guys in the band, and doesn't want them corrupting Dare. He brings a lot of humor to the story. GRAMMAR/SPELLING/DIALOGUE - ...we’d taken to texting each other a random pictures of something weird or funny or awesome every day. They landed a little short of Spider and Rob dove for them, missing my/{by? a few inches. Strong dialog, it all flowed really well. THOUGHTS - Another strong chapter, moving your characters forward as the reader catches more of a glimpse into the budding relationship of Dare and River. It's sweet and innocent so far, nothing rushed, though part of me wishes the present would hurry up and get here already. Nicely done. Write on!
