A Review from "SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP

Hello, Jeannie ! I am Aqua and the following are only my personal opinions. Ultimately, you and only you can decide what works best for your item.

Happy Birthday Jeannie! I was searching for poems in your portfolio to read and review when this particular poem caught my attention. You write beautiful nature poems and articles. Therefore when I saw this was a nature poem, I knew I had to come and take a peek at it. The abstract cover photo and the beautiful title of your poem was another factor in grabbing my attention. The title and the short description made the reader feel kind of happy, warm and fuzzy on the inside, giving her a hope in her heart and all the time making her curious to see what kind of a poem the poet had written on this title.

The starting of your poem is very strong, Jeannie. I really liked how you described the colour of the red rose with a single word 'blush' and then continued on showing the beautiful garden to the reader, sharing the breath taking view with her. I liked how you showed what was going on in the garden as well along with the flowers and flora. In the second stanza, I thought the appearance of the bird was no bigger than to show the beauty of the nature in the garden but as I read on, I came to a very strong conclusion about the bird that made the reader feel that nature helps itself. Birds want to keep this Earth beautiful and the way it is and look how beautifully they are doing it. I haven't seen any bird do that but it was such a lovely vision that I couldn't help but stop, stare at the screen and read it again all over from the start. This is the reason, the last stanza was my favourite in your poem. Another reason why I enjoyed that particular stanza was how you bring in the destruction, making the reader feel sad about all the beauty gone but then a ray of light that brought a smile to my face, just like you had mentioned in the short description. Perfect!

The flow of your poem was excellent, there was no interruption and it flew smoothly when I read it out loud. The rhythm was good and it enhanced the poem. The vocabulary you had used in your poem was very beautiful and helped paint beautiful images and scenery in the reader's mind. Well done!
