Title of Work: Sovereign Prison (Genre: Other)
Author of Work: Angels in my Ear
Date: July 26

Plot:
A view of freedom from two perspective points of reference. One from those that are subjects of a monarch and the monarch itself.

Scene/Setting:
This poem sets the stage of a monarch queen looking down from her lofty palace/tower upon those who are her subjects. She longs to have a life that is free from the burdens of being a leader, to be able to freely choose how to live her life the way she would like. The subjects look up and see only the elegance of such an existence compared to their meager lives.

Characters:
Queen, Subjects

Review:
I really like the poem, it spoke and opened the concept up rather nicely and allowed the reader to visualize both perspective points of view. In the end I felt sorrow for the Queen as she would never truly know what being free meant, having to follow rules and protocol that constrain her life more than perhaps those who are subjects.

Character Count: 1140
