"Game of Thrones"   by Gaby ~ Just tired

Rhythm/Rhyme:
This poem had good rhyme and flow, taking the reader on a journey of current events that leave the heart aching.

Summary:
Syria is such a shame on the entire world for sitting back and not intervening. You painted a real, and gripping story of what is taking place there, the suffering, and what it must look like from Gaia's perspective. The imagery of the gas attack is haunting, pressing upon the fact that it's not the guns or knives that took their lives, but a substance not seen that had children slaughter in such an inhumane way.

Critique:
I've been to the Middle East and have been trapped in a war zone, so this one really resonated with me. The pride of people killing others for the name of their country just hurts the heart. So many times the world has seen wars, and even thought so end and are resolved, the pain of what came before never really goes away. I really could picture the scene that you laid out, as if Gaia took a paint brush and with one stroke showed the scene. Good job relaying this heartbreaking tragedy of our history, and really pulling the reader into the poem. Thank you for sharing this perspective. It really hit home. Write on!
