While I was searching for something to review in your flash fiction portfolio, this particular flash fiction caught my attention due to the intriguing short description. The title arose a lot of questions in the reader's mind as I wondered if it could be something related to metamorphosis or perhaps a science fiction story. The short description you had provided the reader with made her interested in reading what kind of a wish the man had and how and in what way it changed him. All of the story seemed mysterious to the reader and all she wanted was to read it.

The beginning of your work was good, it was full of suspense as the reader wanted to know more about this Jeff and the setting you had with the thunder was very appealing to the reader. The entire setting where you have described him to be in the dark gave the reader an impression that perhaps there might be some horror element in it and it enhanced the suspense in your poem even more. Good job! Your use of 'man in black' was very interesting because it made me remember the movie "Men in Black" and I wondered if there could be any connection. The story you have here was very good, I didn't expect it to turn out the way it did. It seems that Jeff got his wish accepted but the reader was left curious to know what happened to his family and what was the price he paid for this wish to be accepted?
