A Review from "SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP

Hello, Rex Kramer ! I am Aqua and the following are only my personal opinions. Ultimately, you and only you can decide what works best for your item.

I was searching for something to review from your portfolio in your flash fiction portfolio when this caught my attention. I like reading horror and scary stories and dark poems every now and then and it had been quite some time since I last read one so here I am. The title of your story was very unique as the reader wondered what kind of a story it might be and how the souls are connected as food in this story. The short description was enough to tell me and convince me I had to come and take a peek at this story.

The beginning of your work was very good, it seemed normal to the reader due to which she was even more intrigued to read more faster and find out exactly what was this soul food and the horror element in your story. The vocabulary you have used in your work was effective, I could feel as an invisible third person walking with him, seeing things and bored because they are the same all the years. I could relate to him as I recalled several occasions where nothing new happens and there is always same old stuff. It was interesting to note the setting and the tone that kept changing throughout your story, first it was normal, bored and then suddenly it was full of suspense as the reader wondered what this new food could be and how Garrett would feel after eating it. Your concept of soul food reminded me of the current season of Supernatural I am watching and how the idea matched with that one, without soul, all the pain that he had suffered had gone away and after a long time, he was finally feeling happy, not guilty and free. A very good idea and an excellent ending!
