Title of Work: : Sharon's Family Portrait (Draft, Family)
Author of Work: :Roseanne-NaPoWRiMo-WGT-JDI
Date: : July 31, 2016

Plot:
"A girl with a condition, a family with cats; and the words that connect them all."

Scene/Setting:
The author starts off by talking about how her mother always says "a picture is worth a thousand words". This was brought to her mind, because they were having their yearly family portrait done. She says it would be hard to write a thousand words about herself, but then goes on to prove herself wrong in this idea.

She describes how she fits but doesn't fit into the fmaily. She has "growth hormone deficiency" which causes her not to grow at a normal rate. Most people would know of this condition as dwarfism. The author describes how her brothers are all taller than herself and have been for a good amount of time. She talks about the operations she needs to have in order to fix her organs. She's not bitter, but she wears clothes to make people think she is older, because being thought of as a child, because of her size, is dishearting.

This is how the author describes herself: " ... I'm a dog lover in a cat loving family. I am a dwarf in a normal height family. I am a blond in a brown haired family. I am the runt of the litter even though I was born first. ...", but she knows she is loved and that is what seems to count the most.

Suggestions:
This is a nice descriptive piece. It shows love, warmth and courage to be what you are and not what society thinks you should be.
