Thank God, it's changed. I wonder who the person is; you,friend or imaginary. It just rings so true for way too many people. We always feel like we're on the outside looking in. But, we don't realize people are feeling the same way. It's a paradox of some sort.

Why I could relate to your work: As stated above, I've felt that way during my younger years. Too many years those types of thoughts tormented me. I had to really come to terms what life really is.

In Conclusion: Your writing is accurate and flows so well. It's extremely easy to read, something that many readers look for. You make it engaging without embellished, uncommon words. But, the feelings are described beautifully. I'd love to known your genre preference. I myself prefer to write in the first person, and everything tends to be true stories from my life.
