What a great poem.

The poetic device comparing tick & tock to the actions of being human is superbly crafted and highly original. As is the opening line of each stanza with it's description of elements of humanity.

The whole poem puts me in mind of speculative fiction, something like Bicentenial Man - comparing man to robot.

The imagery is very real, and very unique.
