Greetings, Bandersnatch

This is your local Simply Positive Reviewer, here! Your writing has been selected for review, as part of Simply Positive's mission to bring more light on Authors here at WDC!

First Impressions: "I Made the Team is a nice memoir of a time, 1966 I believe to be exact, whereby the author takes us on a stroll through the nostalig lanes of playing football, that great sport of modern day gladiators, helmeted all, shoulder pads crunching, helmets popping, football snapping, crowd cheering fun that hits us each and every autumn.

Naturally, it brought memories back for me as well, during a time when I played pre-JV games, with enough experiences to remind me that my great speed was better served playing soccer as it was. Oh heck, I played QB, RB, WR, safety, etc - and I learned quite a bit doing this as well...

There were a lot of fun moments in this writing, many that brought home to bacon for memories sake, that is for sure!

Overall Impact: Many guys had the experience of suiting up for football, but never once had the chance to play. There are - to put it simply - a lot of "Rudys" out there! This story has the "Rudy"-like quality, a sort of feeling that we are rooting for the underdog to finally have a chance to play in a game of tackle football as it is.

It was a great read all in all, one I came to appreciate the more I dwelled on the author's words.

Errors: No spelling errors seen here in this piece.

Summation: For those of you who loved to play most any sport, we can honestly say that football was one of the most physical of all. If you played on the front line, you were guaranteed to get hit every single play of the game. The author allows for us to trail along with him as he humorously gives us chances to laugh - "Son, what position are you trying out for?" *Laugh* - and other places take us to an earlier time that many might not ever have encountered. TVs with rabbit ears made of foil. In fact, now that I think of it, was 1966 the year before they presented the Super Bowl? Indeed. Thanks for bringing us back to yesterday in a fun way. *Smile*

Once again, thank you for providing me the opportunity to read and review for Simply Positive; this also has been written in affiliation with
