*Balloonp* Hiay SaraJean! I am happy to do a review to celebrate you! *Delight*

Wow! This is absolutely stellar as a personal point of view on reviewing and I so had to smile at some of the pet peeves you mention and found myself nodding and giving a thumbsup up on many points! *Thumbsup* Retelling the story, copy paste and commenting on grammar when one is not that good at it are peeves of mine too as is the over use of the non comment part of a review that is longer than the actual commentary. I don't get it! *Smile* Good call!

This article really gives some valid pointers and faux pas to avoid when reviewing and is accessible to all readers. It provides a good teaching for newer writers who may not really know what to do. I like how you end with the notion that all are free to create their own style and do their own thing--which is a plus side in the name of freedom or expression. Your article makes sense and may explain why recipients may not respond to well to such reviews or why credits may be lower if others have a similar view to yours.

Your piece is well structured and organized and you illustrate a valid use for colour font to highlight subtitle points! *Thumbsup* It is easy to skim for quick view!

I like the idea of teaching in a review--explaining where errors are--giving links to help fill in gaps in grammar, punctuation etc if there is a general lack of it in a piece. As you say--if they don't know how to fix it or find it, it doesn't help to say there are errors.*Wink*

I had to laugh when you spoke about shouting every other word. Yikes. Good show here by illustrating other techniques like bold etc. And you would think that folks would not use unreadable colours like yellow or pale green to write with. I have heard that even RED is difficult for some folks.

The idea of having a separate link for long disclaimers on how one reviews or rates etc. is brilliant.*Idea* I have always figured that authors would already know that what I say is just my opinion from my own experience in any moment, and that they can take what fits them and leave the rest. But that is me, I guess. *Crazy* *Smile*

Your tone is personal, friendly and candid, and it is interesting to read as you give examples of these issues that effect you like "fingernails on a chalkboard" just so we can beware. *Laugh* Ouch! that is telling! I hope this review is not too irritating. *Shock*

You make a great point at the start about how even good reviewers can be changeable on any given day in the way they do a review! Variety is fun. *Balloonp*

Thanks for sharing your straight forward POV filled with tips that can really assist those who seek to improve the quality of reviewing! A great reference contribution to WDC! *Starstruck*

Light on the path as you write on!
