"I know, I know. But--"

"No buts. Do. Not. Use. It. Forget you have one. Write through it and we can figure it out later. You know the drill."

I love the above, it's an argument I have with myself often while writing.

I thought this was an excellent story that followed the prompt perfectly. Abby and Sam were believable characters with a classic friendship. I enjoyed the twist at the end, it was a pleasant surprise. Not only were you able to capture the chaos of an editor, and writer, but also an element of mystery with a nice surprise. Well done!
