"SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP

Hello there, Newbie! Welcome to WDC. *ButterflyG*
This is a Simply Positive Review.

*PointRight* I have noticed you reviewing, entering contests and filling your port with wonderful choices for a reader to delve into. You are really shining on WDC as a Newbie. Kudos!

*DoorW* I chose this story because I understand the loss of a father, and also a mother, much more recently than my father's passing away. However, I do make it a point to read others memories and tributes to their parent who has passed away.

*Shield9* This tribute was so real. I know that since your dad was in his eighties when he passed, he had been through times that were very tough. Getting and keeping work was all a father could think about. My father was in construction, and up North in the winter, there was no work. Months without full pay caused much stress in the household, especially with three growing children, needing clothes shoes and supplies for school. Stress leads to toughness and anger. So, I understand what you are saying.

*Hotair3* Later in life when I had my daughter, my father was like a lamb instead of a wolf. He adored her and being a grandfather. He treated my mother well and with more respect than when we were young. Just as things were going so well and we all took trips and enjoyed being together, when my daughter was almost ten months old, my father died from injuries in a construction accident. I also had time to not just love my father because he was my father, but to also like him, and at that time he became my "dad."

*Wip* Thus, my memories of him do reach back to the old days, but then I pulled myself into the moments he was a grandfather and a better father to me, and good husband to my mother, and my heart softens.

*Vine2* This is a tribute to your dad. Not all tributes are sugar coated, and this proves it. Human flaws fall upon us all, we can only try to better ourselves and learn from our mistakes. Your father did good. That's what you need to cling to.

*DropW* I'm sorry for your loss. I am equally happy for you that you got to know your dad in a different light. He had changed for the better and that was a blessing for your and his grandchild.Thank you for sharing this tribute with us.

*AsteriskG* I can only suggest for improvement that you write out the numbers "10" and "11," they stand out in such a succinct piece of writing.

Otherwise, your tribute flowed easily, painted a huge picture of the man your father was, and gave proper respect to his memory. *StarW*

Well done!
*Lightning3*

Until next time--write on!

Regards,
WebWitch
