Hey, Dragon is hiding , and good evening (or morning? It is waaay past my bedtime).

I'm going to try and help you out on this assignment of yours, though I can't make any promises since I'm not in your class (I'll ask questions in the scroll—best way to do this, in my opinion...) And thank you for making this item Review Only... that helps immensely. *Thumbsupl*

A few things I noticed as a reader:

Going through the introduction, I'm running into quite a bit of jargon that I don't recognize. What I can bring out of it is that you are stating the hypothesis on which the survey later in the piece is attempting to provide evidence for. I asked you in the scroll to state the hypothesis in layman's terms (I'm an old dummy) and you stated that the survey is trying to provide evidence that personal and social factors will affect a person's ability to make moral decisions. It is on this criteria which I will evaluate the arguments and evidence provided on the piece.

Also, as I stated in the scroll, this concept of fluid morality is an oft-discussed topic in ethics and philosophy courses (when you have a chance, read Lack of Character—also you out there in public reviewing land, too). Moving right along, you introduce the study with a discussion on how children's education shapes and reflects their morality through the examples of their teachers and peers (with source materials), and talk a bit about the differences between male and female morality in society as these children grow into adolescence and obtain a gender identity (male autonomous morality vs. female social circle morality).

"Even though the concept of gender fluidity was not as prominent when Lapsley conducted his research, males whose morality were more dependent on their social networks also had similar results to other females.

I'm glad that you mentioned this to cover all your bases, since gender fluidity is becoming more of a social issue, and that how all moralities and personalities may not fit in these boxes for male and female people. Though, I suppose for the sake of the article, you can give the morality itself a gender without attaching the gender of the morality to the person's actual gender (male with a female morality, for instance). However, I don't think it will detract from your original hypothesis one way or the other, since the gender of the morality doesn't necessarily make it immune from allowing personal and social factors to influence morality, no matter how autonomous. {/rambling}

From here, you describe in detail the method in collecting evidence for the hypothesis, which was done in the form of a survey. I won't list the details, stats, or procedure here since I really have nothing to comment on them.

Of course, at the end you state the results of the survey as well as the factors that could skew the results of the evidence (because it's a survey, and there are plenty of influencing factors that could sway which of the four answers the students will check, that is if most of them took the survey seriously in the first place). As I stated in the scroll, I found this last statement rather interesting:

" However, since the data predominantly focused on how the different factors correlated with each other, future studies could be done, or more focused, on age, gender, or other aspects of a person’s identity, like religion or socio-economic status. It would be interesting to investigate whether or not money plays an aspect in a person’s morality."

That could be a whole different study and assignment in and of itself, perhaps more like to what extent money plays a role in influencing morality because it obviously does.

All and all I think this paper does the job. I wish you luck. *Salute*

Thank you for allowing me to review your piece. I'm just another reader and writer so use or discard any of my suggestions at your personal discretion. If you make changes and would like me to reassess your piece, feel free to e-mail me. *Mail*

Keep writing and keep improving! *ThumbsUpL*
