 Welcome to WDC Genipher! I am happy to do a review to celebrate you!   Wow. I am not sure how old your daughter is so I will gear this review for a young one.  This rhyming poem is entertaining and fun to read. I could really see the dog and its actions clearly. The dialogue was brilliant too and I had to laugh at the idea of fat hunters and a frog and a dog talking. I giggled too at the egg nog. It is cool that you make me wonder if the dog or the frog was drinking it as the lack of punctuation leaves it open.   It has a free style with good rhyme and while the rhythm is not even in each verse, it did not take away the pleasure of the read.I would suggest taking out the word "that" in "That the hunters..." as it is not needed in a poem.  That the deer would be in fear could really happen and it was well added to the imaginative conversation. The ending was funny too as it shows that the dog is rather lazy, always wanting to sit. A great way to end without a rhyme too. It adds a twist. Cool.   Humourous poems are a challenge and you have done a wonderful job!! Thanks for sharing your creative vision!
