Greetings, Façade of Alabaster

This is your local Simply Positive Reviewer, here! Your writing has been selected for review, as part of Simply Positive's mission to bring more light on Authors here at WDC!

First Impressions: "Atlas is a very, very poignant poem! I truly enjoyed this journey, this poetic progression, this very detailed work that features Atlas, that fearsome god who held up all the world! *Bigsmile*

Do know, I have read up on Atlas, and what an amazing story of imagination he is!

Overall Impact: We are entreated to a writing of very intense detail, of a sort of writing that introduces us to us, humans...people who have bit parts to play, and in summation, the author deftly speaks of our requirement to keep that "spark of human life" alive, no matter how little or unencumbered our deeds may indeed be...

I loved the depiction of Atlas, squinting through sweat within the eyes, attempting the superhuman feat of keeping the world held up, no matter what the cost to himself...

The tension was held there for me, the reader, throughout.

The actors/actresses playing a bit part called Life reminds me, along with the world and the god Atlas...of a Shakespearean phrase..."All The World's A Stage".

Indeed it is. *Wink*

For some of us, that phrase is much closer to home than even we may realize...

Errors: None whatsoever! Perhaps it is only me, but when I read of the stars being apathetic as the writer so aptly describes them....I longed for a more personable phrase to describe them.

What word did I seek to describe them? "Empathetic"...

But then again, stars by their very nature are distant beings...and since Atlas is doing the job of holding things up here...how could "empathy" have anything to do with it>!>? *Laugh*

Ah, Isaac Newton is crying in his glass of ale as we speak!!

Summation: What a poem! Reading this was like being zonked by a lightning bolt from the past!

Thank you ever-so-kindly for penning this poem! I will be spending more time in your Port soon, to see what else might be waiting there for the world to discover!!

Meanwhile, Atlas sweats and lifts this world for even longer somehow, a world grown mad, strange, distant, aloof, unpredictable.....

KEEP WRITING!!!!!!!!!! *Bigsmile*

Once again, thank you for providing me the opportunity to read and review for Simply Positive; this also has been written in affiliation with
