HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" HI Kanish! I am here with a review to celebrate you! AW.. I was so charmed by these vivid memories of childhood and could so enter into the clear vision you created. I can even recall similar activities myself like the dancing in the rain and chasing dragonflies. I recall running on the dewy grass at night under the stars too and having toads hop over our toes when least expected. LOL The poem seems to be a free form and the dual images balanced in each line flow smoothly as I read them aloud. The rhyme is well done and I appreciate the effort to get these to work. The soundscape is appealing as well with its alliterative and sound combinations. The overall effect brings a calm and dreamy vibe which detracts from stress as your last line says. I wondered about repeating "coloured" and "those" were part of a pattern on purpose. I saw "darting dragonflies", bobbing balloons" just for variety. I other lines the "those" flow well and give more the lovely long o and s sounds. Interesting use of the past tense "elated" as an adverb with "flew". I think "marbles, with which we played" is better grammatically. I like the idea you see it in black and white as when I was reading I could imagine the colours and scenery. Cool! Daydream memories are great stress relievers. Did we not know that at kids, staring out school windows! LOL Thanks for sharing such an evocative poem for a trip down memory lane. Light on the path as you write on!! eyestar ** Image ID #1815342 Unavailable **
