Nice Signature Made For Me by b.meridith!

What brought the Hand of THiNG to your port?

*Ghost* You sent me a nice review recently so here I am to read and review in your portfolio.

What Does THiNG think about while perusing your item?

*Cool**Idea* I thought about all that's taken for granted and the saying about there but for the grace of God go I, or something along those lines. I see faces that you write of just about every time that I venture out. Some seem genuine and some more calculating - it is hard to tell the difference in what we see. The world is full of con artists and sometimes I think those who truly need help are the last ones to ask for it.

It's a confusing world these days.

I once saw a group of homeless (apparently) people meet in a parking lot, getting out of a fairly new SUV. I drive a 12 year old car. They were arguing within my earshot about who would take which spot. I see them all the time, this same group in different locations, as I live in a small city. That was an eye opener for me.

What does THiNG applaud about while reading your item?

I particularly like this part:

"With human pride and fear we avoid
Tattered souls and forlorn stares;
Broken places in the lost faces
In plain view as we tend our own cares."

In the quiet time, it is when I think about those I see. Other things do tend be more of a priority generally. It is definitely food for thought, though. When we farmed we would take food to Urban Ministry. Hopefully that got to those who needed it because it was farm fresh and good food.

Splendid poem!

I am not an expert on poetry or prose. I am merely a reader who loves to read. I am not a proofreader and would rather do most anything else rather than proof read. That is what proofreaders get paid to do. If I decided to nitpick and proofread, I wouldn't enjoy my reading nearly as much. If I don't enjoy something, I tend to not do it. I like to read and I do it a lot, with more longevity reviewing than most. I share my experiences when I read and try not to blabber on too much. I enjoyed visiting with you!
