What Does THiNG think about while perusing your item?

This is a brilliant poem which is a tribute to all the values that the military practice every day that maybe we take for granted. I think we should all stop and think about them and appreciate the sacrifices that they make and all they do.

I like that you say this is for your Dad. I bet he is so proud to have a wonderful tribute to him here.

What does THiNG applaud about while reading your item?

This was my favorite part:

"We were surrounded with violence
He whispered to me, to leave him behind,
or I could end up with a fate the same kind.
I shook my head and told him to hush,
This is the reason I came to this brush."

No one gets left behind. That is the unwritten rule, isn't it? It makes being a soldier all the more noble, as opposed to whatever it is that politicians are up to.

I am not an expert on poetry or prose. I am merely a reader who loves to read. I am not a proofreader and would rather do most anything else rather than proof read. That is what proofreaders get paid to do. No one in their right mind would pay me to do that. I enjoy my reading and would not be here doing it if I didn't enjoy it. It's what I do for fun. I've done it a long time here, 15 years and I still enjoy it. The secret is do what is fun and don't worry about anything else. It took me a long time to learn that and put it into practice. If I don't have fun here, I don't come here. I share my experiences when I read and try not to blabber on too much. I enjoyed visiting with you!
