What Does THiNG think about while perusing your item?

I thought about life and how things sneak up on you. You have captured the secrets of the aging process with your eloquent words.
We don't realize where we are until things come together in our jumbled minds as we move along down the path of aging.

What does THiNG applaud about while reading your item?

This is my favorite part, although it is all wonderful!

"It is not giving up or giving in.
It is not letting go . . .
It is the transition from
"what is" to what "will be."

Even when dealing with other kinds of death (not natural) there is this transition you speak of. I had never thought it through properly before I read your poem.

It is brilliant!

Again, I welcome you and since you are new I will point you to "The Writer's Cramp" , which is a daily, prompt driven contest where you can write short stories or poetry (usually) in 24 hours to a prompt. It is a great way to meet other writers here and a fine way to get writing ideas. I'm a judge there one day a week and I look forward to seeing you there!

I am not an expert on poetry or prose. I am merely a reader who loves to read. I am not a proofreader and would rather do most anything else rather than proof read. That is what proofreaders get paid to do. No one I know of would pay me to do it. Maybe someone deranged would do that, but I haven't met them yet. I read because I enjoy reading and reviewing. If I didn't enjoy doing that here, I'd do it somewhere else because it's basically what I do for fun. I share my experiences when I read and try not to blabber on too much. I enjoyed visiting with you! For a while I had a disclaimer, until some know it all said disclaimers shouldn't be used. It's not a disclaimer if it changes with every review and still having this paragraph here is my way of saying I'll do it my way, thanks so much, "waves* to my critic.
