First Impressions: "The Long Wait, Part 1"  is an interesting short story, filled with romance and notions similar to same. We are brought to love's front door many times within the boundaries of this tight piece of work.

Indeed, we see for ourselves just what the author has to offer the readership as we continue on along a path of requited - then unrequited love. And almost - but not quite - back again.

Many of us can recall those days in high school whereby we remember someone so very dear, so very special, so very much a part of our lives. The mere thought of them and the "adventures" we enjoyed together is enough to get the blood pumping into the temples once more nevertheless.



Overall Impact: That is why the impact of romance stories tend to be of a higher calibre: we take to heart that tensions that are ratcheted up, especially within the boundaries of this writing, for we discover that these two lovers eventually, just before realizing love and all its implications a second time on the path of this thing we call Life...suddenly, are jolted back to cold, aloof reality once more.

For one lover, love is too much.

And we all know that love requires two lovers in this particular equation...



Errors: No errors seen in this story this evening. This writer has many facets of abilities provided to us for us to fully realize that with talent this deep, errors are most unlikely at this point in time....



Summation: A decent work, fulfilling to the max, giving to us all a broad sense of the deliciousness of romance altogether. It was a blessing to come across this work at the time this reviewer found it, for Romance as a genre has so many things that reward the reader.

And above all, it is most delicious when found in the most surprising of ways....
