This is an "Invalid Item" review A review by iguanamountain in affiliation with OCEAN BLACKBIRD by M.Prelooker Episode seven – the blank Ch-13-musing Now back into the story. >>> Taylor came out of the bathroom and frowned at finding Gillian already dressed. From that I know what they've been doing. >>> ...when she came near him to fetch her jacket. The word 'fetch' is kind of archaic or applies to dogs. Probably better to say, 'pick up her jacket'. >>> She always knew how to get away at the speed of light. I laughed at that. Her independence is always front and center. >>> That was home. Where Connor had invited over his friends Tim and Mike, and practiced his chef skills to honor them―and make a complete mess of the kitchen. A view of 'home' with a different kind of chaos. Like how she accepts and merges right in. >>> ...dictated a swift exit to a safe haven for this cases. Cases is plural so it would be: 'these' cases. >>> Cook was naïve enough to think that something of what he said got to her, This is good contrast about her state of mind. The upset is her intense commitment to independence and then enjoying overmuch being with Taylor. >>> Cheating. Yeah, that was it. Sort of. That was the ‘feeling bad about feeling good’. Gambling guys provide the word. And not her usual control of self...except around Brock. Are these emotions related? Hmmmm.... >>> It was the awful sensation that she shouldn’t be with him because… because… Is that question being posed, just under awareness? >>> I mean, that he was not the right man to make me feel like this. Right as in correct, you know? She's narrowed it down, but it is still an unanswered question. >>> There was nobody else she was interested in, no feelings whatsoever for any other man. Well that thought is a kind of denial. Talk about burying emotional reactions. >>> Jeez, age did come bearing gifts. Maturity is a bitch! FINAL COMMENT: This is great character development--emotion and guilt bursting out and being repressed. Good writing, Monica. Best, Gale My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
