I am reviewing your item because it popped-up on the Random Review click.

This is a clever interpretation of the man in the red suit, aka, Santa Claus. It is amusing and portrays him in a less than jolly way. He is after all a very hungry man on a mission, and must not be messed with!

Your rhythm and rhyming, for the most part, stay within the beat of the words chosen, and also with the images produced in the reader's mind.


I liked this part because of the use of words that capture attention of the reader -- "astride" and "satiation." Although, I do not believe it is the best use of the word "astride." I am picturing Santa with his legs far apart, straddling the room! He seems gigantic to me with that view in my mind.

"astride the room is white temptation
he won't deny the sweet satiation"


The ending was quite clever as a hungry Santa with a sweet tooth would not tolerate oranges, nor would he leave the occupants any presents for daring to change his preferred diet.

I looked really hard with a keen eye on finding a word with a "c" used in it -- nope, didn't find a one!
