Respite [E] Finding solitude on life's midway. (Form: Triquain Swirl) |
I am also reviewing your item because it popped-up on the Random Review click. I'm thrilled I got this one to read -- it was a real treat to the eyes, spirit and imagination. Wow, I was totally entranced and enthralled with the entire swirling poem. You not only bring the life cycle into the image, but it is well structured around a carnival theme. The Ferris wheel with its repetitive circular motion comes into view quite cleverly. Yet, the reader is pulled into the scene, feels the air -- "popcorned" air, (love the word usage) as the clouds move along. Riding high on the wheel, clouds can appear to have a popcorn look to them. Also, the sense of smell enters the mind, as the reader picks up the aroma of popcorn and other delightful confections commonly wafting the air at a carnival or fair. I loved the shape, the clever word usage and the philosophical take on the circle of life. The journey, just as a ride on the wheel, winds down until it stops and the rider steps off, seeing that reality faces him and eventually his ride down life's road will also end -- it is all a mystery. Moral? Embrace all life has to offer because it flies-by so quickly. Each moment is a new celebration of life for one to be grateful to enjoy. Beautifully penned, I wouldn't change a word! Until next time--write on! Regards, WebWitch My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
