PLOT -
Conroy cannot get over an encounter from his past. It shapes his life, and though he married and ran his business, that one memory never is far from his mind.

SETTING -
Great job showing the raging storm, and what happened between Conroy and the stranger that night in the cabin. I could picture it all so clearly in my mind. Great descriptions of how he saw her and his emotions that pertained to her through the years, but especially during the one night they shared.

CHARACTERS -
Conroy is old now and still loves storms. He finds comfort in them, but also, reminisces to that day when he'd spent the night with a stranger. Each storm is a reminder of that night and that memory he holds close.

THOUGHTS -
Terrific story. It is easy to believe that the woman is in fact what Conroy was chasing in the woods during the storm that night. I could picture the silver hair being one in the same. I liked how this one encounter stayed with him throughout his life. As if destiny had a way of toying with him until things were revealed at a later date. I had a feeling how it would all end, though I was mistaken about who the person on the doorstep would be. You did great leading your audience there and still managed to bring about surprise.

Lost in a haze of purple she stands alone
