This was an amusing little tale about a girl who was made to spend her spring break at her grandmother's country home. The boredom begins, and everyone knows, bored kids are trouble magnets!

I loved the character of the grandmother who in my mind, feigned not remembering why it was so wonderful to explore the nature surrounding the creek, where she once played at as a child.

I also liked that the young lady was removed from all those electronic devices that keep teens totally enslaved, just to find their amusement at their fingertips. That is complete culture shock on a spoiled city teen!

A net swings down and nearly decapitates the tips of my extended fingers.
Decapitate is the cutting off, of a head. Do fingers have heads? Perhaps "severs" would be a better word? Just a thought.

Interesting and amusing view into the life of a teen, who learns that there is more to life than electronic devices. There were some funny moments, a touch of fantasy and clever imagery, thus keeping within the comedy prompt for April.
