This is a Simply Positive Review! *Boat*


*Candy4* I found this unusual poem, listed on the Poetry Genre page.

*Tackg* I just Love the Title! It grabbed my attention and pulled me into reading the poem. Words like "terror," never fail to intrigue, especially for one who loves mysteries and thrillers.

*Ladybug* I enjoyed the bit of an old South sounding word, "haint." It was used both as another form of the word "haunt" and also to mean a ghost. I now see where this poem is heading. There will be forthcoming a spirit of darkness to intrigue and spook your reader.

Observation

"Its it's the time before birds begin calling"

"with a highlander ghillie's checkering"

*QuestionB* Did you mean a Highlander's gillie/s? (which is plural, you have the possessive, apostrophe s.) A gillie as in "a man or a boy who acts as an attendant on a fishing, fly fishing, hunting, or deer stalking expedition, primarily in the Highlands?" OR, "A ghillie suit (called a yowie suit by the Australian Army) is a type of camouflage clothing designed to resemble the background environment such as foliage, snow or sand?" OR, "soft shoes used by women in Irish dance, by men in Scottish country dance, and by men and women in Highland dance?"

*Thinker* You can see there would be a little bit of confusion, here, especially the way you used it in the line.


*Turtle2* Other than the little pause to define how that line should be interpreted, I found this poem to be quite lyrical. There seemed to be a refrain of sorts that made me feel I was reading lyrics to a song. I believe these lines could be placed to music. *Music2*
