I really liked this piece. It was a good metaphor for writers, and I think most of the people on this site can probably identify really well with what seems like an absolutely endless (and sometimes pointless) struggle to create something good.

I like that so much of the piece captured the struggles of writing, and then at the very end it turns out to be an optimistic approach that was strangely encouraging.

I also quite enjoyed the comparison between writers and heroes, and smiled a bit when the first similarity you listed was that he was attractive. Although you elaborated on that a little more objectively later in the piece, the first time that it came up was just a lot of fun. I feel like writers aren't often generalized so fondly for our physical traits

This is a great piece for writers, and I hope that you continue getting to share it with people who will appreciate it.
