Title: The Bird Knew too Much

First Impression: The first paragraph hooked me with Simon Sanders limping to his chair. Detective Willett has a mysterious death on his hands. The clues at the death scene do not add up to a natural death, but he cannot figure out how the murder was accomplished so he consults with his mentor.

What needs your attention: I found no technical problems or anything else that needs your attention. My only suggestion is to us Simon Sanders in another mystery because he is a strong character.

What part I liked best: I like both Detective Willett and Simon Sanders because they are both intriguing and sympathetic characters. However, my favorite of the two is Simon because he is older and more experienced.

Overall impression: The descriptions are part of the action and move the plot forward at a good pace. The interaction among the characters builds the suspense while revealing the characters personalities. I enjoyed reading this exciting mystery because of Simon Sanders the way he used the dead parrot to solve the case. I am giving this well-planned and written mystery a 5.0. Write on.
