"Game of Thrones"   by Gaby ~ Quiet contemplation

OVERALL IMPRESSION -
A tale of a husband who lost his wife and how one whiff of her scent sends him back to better times, and a tortured memory.

WHAT I LIKED BEST -
Good descriptions of the past and what Craig sees while he's in the station.

PLOT~
Craig is at a bus station, knowing in advance that he will be in this small town. He notices an old woman with sleeping children as well as a homeless man sleeping under a newspaper. He sits down and realizes the chair is slippery. When he stands he finds a blue scarf, the same color as the chair and catches the scent of his wife. That one moment sends him back in time to their first dance at their wedding, and then forward to a horrific car accident that took her away from him.

CHARACTER(S)~DESCRIPTION~
Craig is still mourning the loss of his wife. Little reminders are just as painful even though some time has passed.

I liked the memories of their dance, and I could picture them. You had good descriptions when he came into the bus depot and that set the scene as to his surroundings.

DIALOG~
A short conversation with the owner of the scarf, who can't help but notice that something is wrong with Craig, and even catches the tear that escapes his eye.

TECHNICAL~
even as the cold rain kept still pelted

This is a good story. Maybe just a little tightening up with the accident scene to add a few more descriptive elements, as to what he was feeling and smelling in this one pivotal moment. His loss is big and that played out well.

This would be my name.
